Advena with a surpise

Vandaag laat ik zien hoe je de Advena* tuniek of jurk met zakken kan maken.

Hiervoor knip je alle patroondelen en gaan we een extra deel tekenen.

Voor de zakken moeten we een extra deel maken. Hiervoor hebben we het zijdeel nodig.

Op het zijpaneel staat een markering, vanaf hier meet je 5 cm naar beneden en zet hier een markering.

Vanaf de nieuwe markering naar beneden, dit deel van het zijpaneel wordt de zak (verder te noemen zakdeel)

Knip deze 2 x uit.

Meet nu de bovenkant van het zakdeel.

Van dit getal, neem je 90% (getal: 100 x .90) Dit is de lengte van je boord (5 cm hoogte )

Measure the top of the pocket.

Take 90% of the measured number and write this down (example: 100 x .90) This is the length of the ribbing (5 cm high)

Vouw het boordje in de lengte dubbel en zet deze met de goede kanten op elkaar vast aan de bovenkant van het zakdeel.

Vouw het naar boven en strijk. Topstitching indien gewenst.

Fold ribbing in half widthwise, right sides together.

Pin the binding to the pocket right sides together.

Fold it up and iron. Topstitching is optional.

Leg nu het zakdeel bovenop het zijpaneel beide met goede kant naar boven.

Zet deze aan de lange zijnde vast met een tijdelijk stiksel.

Place the pocket at the side panel, both with the right sides up.

Baste the pocket on the long sides.

Meet nu vanaf de bovenkant van de zakopening 10/15 cm naar beneden en stik met een rechte steek door.

Nu heeft u de zak gemaakt.

Measure from the top of the pocket opening 10/15 cm down and sew a normal stitch.

Now you have created the pocket.
