This is NOT Goodbye

Happy New Year everyone! We start the new year full of courage, change, and, above all, lots of motivation.

For many, many years I have built Sofilantjes, together with all of you, but especially together with Melissa. We have faced many challenges. Corona, inflation, market forces but most of all we enjoyed ourselves. This past year I have noticed that I enjoy the process less.

Administration, marketing, and finances take up more of my time, and less time is left for what I started Sofilantjes for, the creative process. Starting this year, we are going to do things differently. Sofilantjes will have a new owner—our very own Melissa. Of course, I will remain involved and do what I do best, design fun things.

So I start the new year with a lot of happiness and fun. I am happy with Melissa and wish her, us, and Sofilantjes a successful year with lots of beautiful new designs (which I am obviously already working on…)
