Rocking the Solis dress

By now I have shown you 2 Solis dresses. One very white one that is still white…. And one retro version. Both dresses will be a hit this summer with the circle skirts. No. 3 also has a circle skirt, but I added pockets to it that are now part of the pattern. A twirly dress with pockets. What beats that?

This Solis dress is made with a sponsored fabric and it is my husbands favorite. Marloes from Joyfits really understands her fabrics. After I showed her the white dress she instantly offered to send me a mint green fabric that she knew would be just right for this dress. Going in blind I agreed on her sending it. I trust her that much. If you have not visited her shop yet, you should. You might recognize some of the fabrics I use. You might even think I buy there a lot….. (I do)

Since I love the mint color on this fabric, the dress did not need a pop of color on the back. I went with solid black. It works perfectly. The fabric is so soft and the stretch and recovery is perfect. It makes a perfect Solis dress.

The little lady seems really happy with her new dress. She loved posing for me and could not stop twirling. Now, if dots or mint are not really your first choice, she does have a huge collection of other knits that will work great with this pattern. I already have my next one chosen 😉

On to pattern info: The Solis tunic and dress has not been released yet, but I am expecting it to release this Thursday! If you’d like to make sure you will not miss out on the release, join our Facebook group:  Sofilantjes Sew and Show group. We’d love to have you.
