Tutorial: Extra Stripe to the Add-on

Lets add an extra stripe. Just because we can… Follow the directions below and do not forget to show us your result in our Facebook group or tag us on IG (@Sofilantjes_anne).

This tutorial is made by Deborah, go say hi over on IG and thank her by following her account.

1. Cut pattern pieces.
2. Cut the extra stripe in the width you’d like it to be.
3. Your extra stripe is a rectangle.
4. Place the extra strip on top of your sleeve stripe piece. Match to the center of the stripe piece.
5. Flip over to the side. Make sure one side of the extra stipe stays at the exact line where it was placed on the previous step.
6. Sew with a 3/8″ – 1 cm seam allowance.
7. Fold the other side of your extra stripe 3/8″- 1 cm to the wrong side.
8. Flip over with the right side on top.
9. Top stitch the previous sewn seam.
10. Sew the folded side of the extra stripe to the stripe piece.
Also fun:
Before step 4. Add trim to the extra stripe.
Sew the trip to the extra stripe. Than follow steps 5 to 10.
More fun.
Skip the cuff and use a cute elastic.
