Jeans Nivalis with accent

Initially I was planning on blogging about this dress and showing you a tutorial about how I made the homemade elastic piping. But time has gotten away from me and a new pattern has taken up the rest of my time. So I owe you a tutorial. Feel free to remind me…..

I did want to show you my beauty and blog about it. It is my favorite of all the dresses. This Nivalis is my second test version. (The line in the front is curved up more in the final version.) I should have taken more time to sew in the elastic piping. But still my favorite.

This is the color blocked option with long sleeves and collar. I added piping to the color block and collar. And the tabs! I think the tabs where the hardest part. Or maybe it was just me. Sewing late at night has never been good for any of my garments. Something always goes wrong. This is why I do not cut out fabric after 21.00 either. I always mess up!

The little Diva was very excited to show it to you though. So I do think she likes it. Hey and check out her hair! She let me braid it for once and…. did not pull it out untill after I got her on camera!

I love the drape of the collar. It gives the dress a vintage feel. That and the color choices.

Here are 5 out of 6 I made. Can you tell I love blue 🙂
